For the past couple of years, I’ve been referring to that little guy in Men In Black whenever I have to debunk the homunculus theory of the mind (usually on the first day of my ‘Minds and Machines’ course). So I decided to actually bring the video with me to class:

This is excellent. I rarely bring up the humunculus problem — I always forget about it. But with this video, it is a great discussion starter for one of the first days of class when introducing the mind-body problem.
I’ve saved it as an .flv . . but flash players won’t play it as is unless it is embedded in an html page . . right? The only player I have that will play it “as is” is the Real Player. What is the easiest way to put an .flv on my server and make it accessible to my students?

I have all my videos for students behind a password. In this day and age of YouTube, do you find that putting it up for the world to see is perceived as acceptable practice.
